Writing on the road.

I am here in Galana, Illinois, A small town located about 15 miles from the Iowa state border. Galena is a tourist destination for Chicagoans to get away from the hustle and bustle from the city. It is known for it's architecture and historic connections. After a good Thanksgiving dinner, we decided to go. The drive to get here is more like a experience in itself. Most of the roads is flat but to get here, there are a lot of hills. Must be a nightmare for truck drivers to get to Iowa this way especially if they are going to Dubuque. Dubuque is a nice place. Filled with shopping and a casino at the port. We did gamble and we broke even. Before I didn't even gamble or not good but now I am getting used to it. Today we will be heading downtown Galena to check things out and drive back to our home in Chicago while stopping over halfway to Rockford to shop. I do enjoy traveling and it is really a relaxing thing to do and see different places. Here are some links to Galena if you want to check out.
